Denver Nuggets forward Zeke Nnaji; fresh off drawing first blood from Miami Heat in game 1 in the ongoing NBA Playoffs Finals after completing a sweep on Los Angeles Lakers has his eyes set on another major milestone.

The Twenty-two years old Nigerian American has stated that he intends to build an Artificial Intelligence (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) centre in Nigeria.

This is coming off the heels of the initial basketball court project he did sometime last year in Enugu. Read up here

Zeke Nnaji believes that AI and VR are essential skills for the future, and he is committed to helping Nigerian youths develop these skills.

While making a statement, Zeke said that;

“AI and VR are the future of technology, and they are already having a major impact on the world. I want to make sure that Nigerian youth have the opportunity to learn about these technologies and how to use them.”

He further stated;

“It means a lot to me. I hope the way that I carry myself and show my culture will encourage young people over there [in Nigeria] to believe they can achieve the same things.

“That’s really our goal, to establish a place where kids can choose where they want to go and what kind of career path they want to take.”

Towards fufilling this, Zeke is set to use the family foundation based here in Nigeria in handling this project.

When asked about the curriculum offered at the STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) centre Zeke Nnaji had this to say;

“We offer music engineering, we offer coding, AI, virtual reality, so a whole bunch of stuff. So they can be on the path to get into certified engineering.”

Despite not being a regular feature for the Nuggets team, Zeke says he is staying ready incase he gets his chance.

He is also yet to feature for the Nigerian National Team -D’Tigers.

The Nuggets look to extend their win against Miami Heat in their race for the chip. Should they win, it would be first in franchise history.
