So You Think You Can Ball Abi? There’s 3 Million Naira Up For Grabs plus bragging rights at the Upcoming Louis Edem Foundation Invitational Basketball Tournament,Get Ready!

In recent times there’s been alot of talk online and offline on who the best team is, but competitions held across the country have proved without reasonable doubt the much needed answers.

Crown Elite Sports has been one of the top front runners  organizing such breathe taking talk-of the-town tournaments with mouth watering prize money.

This time around, Louis of Crown Elite Sports is raising the bar with his upcoming invitational basketball tournament powered by the Louis Edem Foundation, in honor of his late father.

One of the eye catching feature of this event is the prize money involved- A whopping three million naira Omo!!!

Safe to say that it would be “Battle Royale” in Lagos come February 2023 when the event debuts.

Venue: National Stadium Surulere Lagos

Date: February 7- 11

The event would be played by ten basketball  teams from Nigeria and Ghana.

Two million has been earmarked for the winner, while second place gets One million naira. The tournament MVP gets a slice of the largese of One hundred naira.

Fun Fact: The tournament MVP trophy is named after Louis father Francis Ekpenyong” who passed on during the Covid pandemic in 2020.

Louis himself is no stranger to winning.

In his playing days, he was a two-time most valuable player in the Nigerian league and one-time west africa university league MVP.

His playing career kicked off in 1998 with Kada Stars, two years later he moved to Jigawa Rocks were he played for just a season.

He also played for Yelwa Hawks of Bauchi from 2001 to 2003, Union Bank from 2004 to 2006 before taking his skills abroad.

Louis is currently an Info-Tech Engineer based in Maryland, USA.

Speaking about his father, Louis said he(his dad) played a major role in his life, and thus this competition is in his honor.

“ I dont pay tithes to any church, so this is my tithe. I am giving back to the basketball community which I love and care about so much and to do this in honor of my father means everything to me”.

The buzz is already on, the words is been spread already the competition promises to be exciting and entertaining.
